Maldives police must prioritize justice for Yumnu over protecting elite families – Muheed Jeeran

International Human Right Activist Muheed Jeeran Pressed ” Maldives police must bring justice to Yumnu instead of trying to save the butts of so-called elite families. The victim itself has given a hint about what happened there on that night.

Victim of sexual assault and attempted murder Yumnu Rasheed is barely awake, and her statement contradicts the initial police version. It’s a bloody lie and a broad daylight coverup by the police after reading the voice of Yumnu.

Her family has spoken to her, who is still not in a stable state, and she said, “Yumnu said, “I did not do such a thing of my volition; I did not fall by my own doing.” “Will I get justice? Are you sure justice will be served? This is not something I did on my own; this was done to me by a group of people.”

My response is I can assure you that you will get justice, as you have a big youth crowd standing behind you, and they are ready to go to any extent to get justice for you. I heard some leading protestors getting lots of offers to stop this protest, such as high commissioner posts abroad. It’s a bloody shame to hear of a government that came to power to uphold democracy and justice, which is now governing under jungle law.

Based on her statement, it’s clear that the Maldives Police Service has been spreading lies since the beginning of the investigation. I think the government of Maldives should bury their heads under the soil for trying to use influence to cover up this case to save the butts of high profiles.
