Former Youth Minister Ahmed Mahloof has said that Maldives 2.0 was launched to digitise state institutions in the hope of introducing electronic voting and rigging the elections.
Mahloof said in a post on X that he was opposed to the introduction of e-voting in the Maldives as part of the Maldives 2.0, which would be aimed at the presidential election.
Mahloof said he was now confident that the vote would not be rigged with the results of the presidential election clear within two hours and voting for whoever he wanted with confidence.
He pointed out that countries were also changing the e-voting system with allegations of vote fraud
